RAZORBACK LOOKOUT FLINDERS RANGES

After passing through the gorges we drove up higher into the Flinders Rangers to Razorback Lookout.
The Birthday Bear Group on holidays. The breeze was strong up there. (L to R) Paul, George, Helen, Mary, Ann, Bill and moi.

We looked back from where we came towards the Razorback range and Mt St Mary.

We looked ahead where we were to go. I was fascinated with the many clumps of little white flowers covering the hills.

We boarded the coach and continued on towards Wilpena Pound. (An unusual mountain formation)

Birthday Bear was hoping we would arrive soon. She was not too comfortable with her arms stuck in the  elasticised seat pocket together with brochures and a water bottle. I wonder what she did to deserve this punishment. Maybe she ate all of Ann's chocolate stash.

Soon we arrived at the Wilpena Resort. We only had a short time to settle into our room before we met for a walk into the Pound.

  5. Another fun read Diane, Australia is a beautiful country and I enjoyed seeing the group photo and the one of Birthday Bear.

p.s. I know all about chocolate stashes. They are so tempting, so if Birthday Bear got into it, I have every sympathy!

  6. You are truly living your blog title (not the dementia part, of course, just the ADVENTURE part). I admire and am a tad bit jealous of your group's spirit of fun and adventure, discovering all the best of your country. Great travel blog for me!

  14. Great shots! Love the text - the time and effort involved in research, editing and uploading is well worth it from the delight your viewers experience. And none more so than yours truly who does love the little side-excursion with Birthday Bear. The first time I've seen a female bear - long may she roam with her adventurous Diane :-)

  17. Hi Diane,
This is quite bizarre...I have been reading your posts and leaving comments on most of them. When I saw your comment on my blog, I went through yours and don't see any of mine. How odd.
I had some problems with my computer but I don't think it should make any difference to blogging...I do hope this shows up, as I have been following and enjoying your trip.
    I'm really puzzled.

  19. Diane I don't have a blog coz I don't have enthusiasm for blogging only reading them! I'm involved with food gardening and contribute to Brisbane Local Food and that's as close as it gets to a blog. http://brisbanelocalfood.ning.com/ if you have time to garden ;-)
