ANYONE FOR TENNIS

It was my very good friend Helen's birthday recently. She decided to celebrate with Birthday Bear at Sunnybank Hotel. It was my turn to dress Birthday Bear for the occasion. Now we have been carrying on this tradition for quite a few years now and it is getting harder and harder to think of a new way to dress Birthday Bear to reflect the recipients personality. 

Now Helen plays tennis regularly, so Birthday Bear wants to have a game with her.

Helen was happy with her Birthday Bear. 
She said, " Yes,  yes,  you can come to tennis with me next week. Now stop nagging me and let me read the menu."

It was quiet for Saturday lunch at the hotel and we had excellent service and a nice meal. The best thing was the great company and the smile on Helen's face when she saw her Birthday Bear.

    I am beginning to realize just how very creative you all need to be each time a birthday comes around! You did a marvellous job of dressing Birthday Bear, Diane! I love those lacy knickers and the extra ball tucked into them is a touch of sheer genius. So glad to know you all enjoyed yet another fun get together!

    There is a tennis court over the road from our home and I have never seen lacy nickers like that .. though I did find a tennis ball in my garden this weekend.

    hubby loves all things tennis, so i have seen many tennis players, and I must say Bear is dresses as well or better than the players.

    LOL! I will have to show this birthday bear to my husband. (He plays on a USTA team and tencap team, so he's playing year round.) The extra ball stored at the hip is perfect.

    It may be getting more difficult to think of a new outfit for BB, but you have certainly shown great creativity this time around! Love the ball in the knickers, just like the professionals! Cute little tennis skirt too, with eyelet lace.
