BABY NEWS

Last August Bernie and Sonya (our daughter) came back to Australia from USA for Bernie to host another series of 'Beauty and the Geek Australia,' for Channel Seven. While they were here they told us that they were expecting our second grandchild. Everyone was happy even though they thought it would have taken longer to conceive and given them another year before coping with number two.
 Naturally, we are very proud.

The news was printed in the celebrity magazine "OK."

Proud parents and grandparents. The baby is due next April and they don't know if it is a boy or a girl yet. So it looks like we will have an American grandchild. We are fast becoming a united nations family. Swiss grandfather, English grandmother, Australian parents, brother and aunt.

  3. C'mon Diane
Its an Aussie kid! oyi oyi oyi!
Not sure about the oyis - anyhow I hate those silly words. Being born in the USA gives the baby two passports - these days that is a bonus!
Congratulations to obviously overjoyed Grandpa and Grandma - holy hell - you are not that old yet are you??????
    Cheers

PS: Julie above: Is the Marble Bar still there in the Hilton? They did have to put it back as was when in the Adams days - it was there last time I visited - brick and all of yesteryear.

  27. Lovely news Diane! Very exciting as well! I have been following your latest trip too. Love your writing style and beautiful photos. Feel that I need some tips!

I am currently in the USA with my darling new grandson, Eli, now 6 weeks old. He too will have both an American and Australian passport. His parents were born in Sri Lanka and New Zealand, grandparents in New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and England. All Australians now! We all call Australia home and are conscious of being citizens of the wide world.

Best wishes to your family for a wonderful pregnancy.

From one Grandma to another I know how excited you are. I also expect you're wishing they were back home with you. :)
Fox and the baby will be close in age and from our experience with the granddaughters it will only bond them close.
