Our daughter, Carol-Ann. is on holidays from work. After spending a week in Victoria she and SIL David, went back to their home in Sydney where David had to start work. However, Carol-Ann is spending some quiet time at home and pursuing her hobby of sketching and painting before she returns to work. She sent us this speed drawing video which she made with her iPad.
Diane, Both the video and the finished product are amazing! I'd say Carol-Ann has amazing talent.

ReplyDeleteLoved the speed video! It's fantastic watching an artist at work. Carol-Ann has such a wonderful talent. Her drawing is simply fantastic. Does she sell her work?
ReplyDeleteI love this! Your daughter is so talented. The video -- and the finished picture -- are wonderful. Is the picture yours now? (Carol Ann should take more vacations ... unless her job uses her creativity and talent as well!)
ReplyDeleteYes Sally her job uses her talents she is an interior designer of commercial buildings. No the picture isn't mine she did it for her husband who loves Japanese style art.
ReplyDeleteBernie: She doesn't sell her work

ReplyDeleteYour daughter is very talented. Her drawing is gorgeous and the video is neat.
ReplyDeleteWow--your daughter has a real talent… Hope she continues to find time to do more of this… I always admire anyone who can draw --since I have NO talent in this area.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
Carol-Ann is a very, very talented artist Diane. I loved her work. I was wondering if either you or her Dad have similar talents?
ReplyDelete...well done; very creative; I love seeing the process and the result is superb. ps do you watch Colour in Your Life - channel 4ME at my end, don't know about yours but they have a great web link. It is airing tonight at 7pm
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I can't see the video Diane but the sketch is really beautifully done.. Carol Ann is an artist indeed.
ReplyDeleteDiane, your daughter's work is amazing. The finished picture is very beautiful. A true artist!
ReplyDeleteGreat to watch as she creates. I bet the red wine helped, too.
ReplyDeleteThat is great to watch, she certainly is very talented.
ReplyDeleteI do wish I had artistic talent like that, it would be so lovely to be able to reproduce the joy I find in nature. I have to be satisfied with photographs which just doesn't have the same self expression.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely post.
that video is so cool and the drawing is beautiful. is that a kookaburrow? the flowers look so real i could pick them. true talent.
ReplyDeleteThat is really lovely....clever lady :)
ReplyDeleteVery Cool!
ReplyDeleteThe video is missing for me but I love the finished work .... a very clever daughter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on night photography Diane ... I'd never been told that before. I've always waited till it's really dark thinking I will capture a pic with more definition. Can't wait to try an earlier evening shot. Keep cool.
I enjoyed watching art grow before my eyes at speed. When I first read your explanation I thought she’d made the drawing with the iPad - silly me! However, David Hockney does turn out some wonderful stuff on his; I prefer your daughter’s ‘real’ artwork though.
ReplyDeleteSuch startling detail! Beautiful work!!
ReplyDeleteJust AWESOME Diane!!! Has she anymore to show us????
