ALL OVER RED ROVER

Christmas day has been and gone. We had a lovely time with our eldest, Carol-Ann and David but we missed the youngest, Sonya, Bernie, Fox and Banjo who celebrated in LA. We ate and drank and were merry. I hope you had a Merry Christmas too.
SIL David prepares the Snapper Fish.

TOH prepares the salads and wine. I help with a cuddle.

We had a quiet lunch this year of fish, prawns, ham and salads. We had to eat inside with air-conditioning on instead of on the deck, as it was far too hot to be outside. Then we opened presents before dessert of mince pies, fruit salad and brandy sauce.

One of my presents was a  prime lens for my camera. I started practicing with it straight away.

  5. lovely photos Diane - you were too hot outdoors and we were wet and windy and much cooler on Christmas day. Not an outdoors day down here either. Snappy lens you got; perfect gift I would say.

  6. CHEAP bottle of "plonk" - goodness!
I think you should come here with the camera and photograph my "Black and Blue" body.
Are you sure that TOH is really happy with that so close up shot of his face?
The Moustache and beard look good, not so sure about the eyebrows?
Ah Noosa Beach, now that is where you wear wretched thongs, not paddling in street puddles or walking over stupid wooden bridges which cover Moreton Bay tree roots.
Anyhow looks like you had a great day with David and Carol-Ann.
    Cheers
Colin( He who won't wear thongs again in a suburban street - wet or dry!)

  14. what is a prime lens? the photos are wonderful. i love the close ups shot of TOH... mother used to make Snapper like that, we would go to the fish market in Savannah and she would get the biggest red snapper they had and put lemons on it and bake. wish i had a piece right now. looks like you had a super nice Christmas..except for the AC part. we have had several Chrismtas in the past with AC but this year we had to use the heat when we woke up.

  24. Oooh a new lens, what a joy. Santa bought me a new A3 colour printer which I have been putting to good use too. I have been picking out the best of the thousands of ordinary to do some prints.

Talking of prints ... I love that run of grapes on your kitchen wall.
