Some people have the best office Christmas Parties. My daughter went on a Sydney harbour cruise on "Southern Swan". An authentic wooden tall ship built in the 1850's style of Danish oak.

Guess what she did next?

A magnificent ship Diane, oh to be young again. (that's not saying we are old)
ReplyDeletea beautiful ship, a crazy daughter... yikes... i would not even climb up there much less let go. these are great photos
ReplyDeleteOnly with a harness on would I climb up there. What a beautiful ship. I'd love to do that. With some seasick pills in me.
ReplyDelete:-) Looks like fun! And the only thing that surprises me is that you weren't there to climb up there with her.
ReplyDeleteWhat great fun and glad she told you after the fact! LOL
ReplyDeleteGeez ! she is a very brave girl ! What a nice and original Christmas party ! I don't see nothing of Christmas yet, although the hotel is apparently booked for Christmas. It's celebrated here too, you don't need to be a Christian for having a Christmas tree, lol !
ReplyDeleteWe had a bad adventure yesterday, it's written on my blog tomorrow !
Oh my gosh she is very brave!!! What a great way to have a Christmas party.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by on my George Washington post. Can't say I am a fan of Pork Pies, but my mother loved them too.
That is awesome! Beats having flaccid turkey fillet at a grungy pub any day!
ReplyDeleteThe ship is beautiful. I'm envious of your daughter for having the opportunity to sail on her, but I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to climb the mast the way she did.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteNo surprise to me! Just like her mother, never fazed - right?
ReplyDeleteSure is a novel way to have the office Christmas party - good for her.
I bet you and TOH are "green with envy" - ha ha!
Oh to have been on that ship on Tuesday - sigh! Instead of the sweat box up here.
Yep, I'm green with envy also.
Cheers

An amazing ship! Fantastic photos.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice present from your daughter for you, specially the last photo! Scary, I always wondered how people could climb in those tall ships. Well this way.
ReplyDeleteI think that perhaps Carol-Ann is as adventerous as her Mama was when she was young. Oh yeah, you just climbed a bridge on your birthday. :) It's in her genes!
ReplyDelete(I would have been scared to pieces.)
I don't really have a fear of heights, well I thought I didn't. I feel strange after looking at the photos.
ReplyDeleteWow she is brave I think I would have done it too even if my legs were shaking:) Great ship. Great adventure for your girl. B
ReplyDeletewell done! She made the very best of her outing!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun that must have been! I did the same once in the Caribbean, although I looked nowhere near as glamorous and competent as your daughter.
ReplyDeleteWow---she is daring.... Is that "Like Mama like daughter".... Would you have ever done that?????
ReplyDeleteGeorge loves tall ships---and he would feel like he was in heaven on that ship... WOW....
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a great Christmas party. Like Mother like daughter I would say but I'd be pleased I only found out after the event!
ReplyDeleteThat is one work party I would give a miss!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Diane! Your daughter is very brave! I love the tall ship, amazing photos.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful ship and your daughter obviously has no fear of heights. Great photos. Diane
ReplyDeleteWow -- your beautiful and brave daughter ...what a fun post.
ReplyDeleteVery brave acrobatics.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Wow! What a fun adventure for your daughter! I love sailing on a tall ship.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant venue for an office Christmas party .... simply stunning! you wouldn't get me climbing that high!! Carol-Ann looks like she's loving it.
ReplyDeleteWell done to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sailing ship.
It was sooo much fun! I was fully harnessed to the mast and climbing up was exhilarating! A definite highlight of the year, I'd say. That along with climbing the bridge with you and Sonya!
ReplyDeleteGreat Post Mum
xxx
It's a beauty of a sailing vessel Diane and I've taken many pictures of it when I've been in Sydney but.........that's where the adventure ends for moi haha! I do so love the adventurous spirit of , I was going to say the young, but I'm sure there are many adventurous 'people of a certain age' out there also. Fabulous images of your daughter's trip.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is very pretty and very daring. I would love to do that...I am jealous. :)
