A WALK IN THE PARK 4

Yes! Believe it or not, I got TOH out doors again. I want him to be fit for our trip to LA on Sunday. This time we visited Alexander Clark Park at Loganholme, fifteen minutes drive from home. It had been raining and I was trying to juggle an umbrella and my point and shoot camera. So the shots are not clear as I was moving and holding the camera with one hand.
It is a pretty, well maintained park, which borders the Logan River.

Every now and then there is a pontoon for boats and for us to see the river,

which is brown from all the rain we have been having.

We walked in a circuit, by the river, through the forest and past many BBQ areas and children's playgrounds. This one intrigued us. It was like a rail line with these pedal bikes that went along the track. We hope we can take our grandsons there one day.

Uh Oh ! TOH has spotted our car, he's picking up the pace on the home run.

Ah! I have worked out why these "walkies" have all of a sudden become compulsory. It's for when you leave LA and go to San Francisco. Instead of that cable car tram you'll be walking down and up those hills to Fisherman's Wharf, plus that crooked street so as photos can be taken!
So maybe even today before you leave you better do some more training! (Horrible thought!)
Have fun with the girls and grandkids in LA.
    Cheers

  8. Yes, plenty of time for "walkies training session #5" this morning and the weather is perfect for a brisk stroll. TOH "MUST" be fit for the SFO hills! The SFO hills will have TOH primed for your next adventure - "Trekking in the Andes"! ha ha.
    Cheers

  20. Readers always comment when I post water pictures about how brown the water is. It is here quite a bit in winter or rainy weather because of the red clay mud on the bottom. I'm pleased to see there is muddy water in the rest of the world as well. :)
I want to take my granddaughters to that park. Those bikes must surely be a big hit.
