Yes! Believe it or not, I got TOH out doors again. I want him to be fit for our trip to LA on Sunday. This time we visited Alexander Clark Park at Loganholme, fifteen minutes drive from home. It had been raining and I was trying to juggle an umbrella and my point and shoot camera. So the shots are not clear as I was moving and holding the camera with one hand.
It is a pretty, well maintained park, which borders the Logan River.
Every now and then there is a pontoon for boats and for us to see the river,
which is brown from all the rain we have been having.
We walked in a circuit, by the river, through the forest and past many BBQ areas and children's playgrounds. This one intrigued us. It was like a rail line with these pedal bikes that went along the track. We hope we can take our grandsons there one day.
Uh Oh ! TOH has spotted our car, he's picking up the pace on the home run.
i would like to ride the bikes on the rails. cool. and my favorite for today is the reflections peaking through the bushes. beautiful. a great place to hike. so soon we will be saying welcome to the USA... have fun
ReplyDeleteYou are going to LA on Sunday? Like the LA? I think I missed something.
ReplyDeleteHee hee, TOH is probably going to be glad to be leaving on vacation! I love the pedal bike rail like what a fabulous idea and your grandson will love it when he comes to visit. Great find!
ReplyDeleteTOH looks pretty fit from all your outdoor excursions. I think you will be even fitter after babysitting a two-year-old next week! I love the look of those pedal bikes on the rail. Have a great weekend and travel safely to LA. Jo
ReplyDeleteI want to ride the little bikes on the track!! :-) That looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteYou have some nice places to go for a walk. I like the last photo...TOH running to the car LOL.
ReplyDeleteWilliam (TOH)
ReplyDeleteAh! I have worked out why these "walkies" have all of a sudden become compulsory. It's for when you leave LA and go to San Francisco. Instead of that cable car tram you'll be walking down and up those hills to Fisherman's Wharf, plus that crooked street so as photos can be taken!
So maybe even today before you leave you better do some more training! (Horrible thought!)
Have fun with the girls and grandkids in LA.
Cheers
Colin
We leave tomorrow
ReplyDeleteYes, plenty of time for "walkies training session #5" this morning and the weather is perfect for a brisk stroll. TOH "MUST" be fit for the SFO hills! The SFO hills will have TOH primed for your next adventure - "Trekking in the Andes"! ha ha.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Colin
TOH looks really determined as he strides towards the car. Have fun with the grand kids.
ReplyDeleteYou were on a roll! Getting OH out more than once, well done. Enjoy your trip both of you.
ReplyDeleteI love that children's monorail rail, Diane. And how you are already using the plural for grandson!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are enjoying the days spent close to home...I love picture 5 - framed by the trees. have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHI Diane, how exciting you are going to LA? I am sure you will be happy to see the grandchildren and your daughter. It is wonderful you have TOH out on another walk. It is a great place for the family outings. The bike on rails is cute. The photos of the park and river are pretty. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat ride on the rail looks really fun. I think I'd even like to ride it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you have another great park for your morning walks. I'm sure your grandsons will love those rail bikes.
ReplyDeleteAnother great walk, Diane... AND---some great photos...Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific trip... I know you will.
Hugs,
Betsy
A lovely park for morning walks and picnics,I love your photos.Have a lovely trip to L.A ,looking foward to the posts.
ReplyDeleteYou have some of the most beautiful parks in your area Diane. Those little rail cars do look like fun.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip to LA and get lots of photos.
The monorail pedal bikes look great. I wonder if you pedal fast do you bump the car in front. Off to LA how exciting to catch up with the family again.
ReplyDeleteReaders always comment when I post water pictures about how brown the water is. It is here quite a bit in winter or rainy weather because of the red clay mud on the bottom. I'm pleased to see there is muddy water in the rest of the world as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to take my granddaughters to that park. Those bikes must surely be a big hit.
Both walks are beautiful and I think (my) Bill would like them too. (Although when he spotted the car he would be the same).
ReplyDeleteAlways such INCREDIBLE photos. You have some gorgeous scenery, but you are just SO good with your camera. I look forward to seeing more of your photos, but spend your time having a wonderful visit with Mr. Fox, the family, and the new addition.
ReplyDeleteLove the glimpses of the lake, such beautiful surrounds.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool ride for the children too (I wouldn't mind having a go myself!!)
