Our daughters, Sonya 35 (left) and Carol-Ann 37 (right). Sonya lives in Sydney and Carol-Ann lives in London.
A few years ago Sonya went to work at the Edinburgh Festival and the girls spent a few days together in Scotland.
Another time Sonya went to work at the Brighton Festival and Carol visited her there.
Some time later Sonya returned to work in Edinburgh but this time her partner Bernie went also.
After their job was done they had a holiday in Wales with Carol and David.
They meet with Bernie for the first time.
Then Sonya and Bernie returned to work in Sydney.
They visit us in Brisbane occasionally. The Good News is that Sonya and Bernie are going to have a baby next May. Yeah! We are going to be grandparents.
Congratulations! Grandkids are better than the real kids. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have two beautiful daughters, Diane... And congrats on being an upcoming Grandmother. Will this be the first grandchild? SO neat!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour kids don't live near you all either. George and I don't see our kids very often either. But they are still very special to us.
Hugs,
Betsy
You have BEAUTIFUL daughters, diane. And congratulations on the good news. I heard this a few months ago: "Grandkids are your reward for not killing your children." (lol!) thanks for visiting my blog when I've been so tardy to visit yours. (((Hugs))) Jo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations...wonderful news. Will this be your first grandchild? I guess if I read back through your blog I would find the answer to that. I hope Sonya stays well and you all get to enjoy a safe and happy birth in May and a beautiful grandchild.
ReplyDeleteOur youngest grandchild (10 months) left Belgium a few hours ago to spend 4 months in Australia, but we won't see her until early December.
Yay! I'm gonna be an Aunty!
ReplyDeletemmmwah!

OOps should have mentioned ..Yes it is our first grandchild.
ReplyDeleteWu-hoo!! Way to go, you two!! Oh and congrats to the upcoming parents, too, I guess.
ReplyDelete*grin*
Save your pennies, cause my crystal ball sees increased trips to Sydney.
Ooo ... I am soooo envious!
There is nothing like grandchildren! It is the time you learn what unconditional love really means---you give it to them and they back at you!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
