WHAT A NIGHT

Saturday night was a great night for me.
My team won the Asian Cup
My party looks like winning the Queensland State election

The Australian National Team, The Socceroos have won the Asian Cup in Football for the first time.

Anastasia Palaczszuk is likely to be our new premier.

  1. Our new premier probably has Polish roots . Her surname is typically Polish or Russian

  3. Well - good to see "the Meerkat" go but have this mob
learnt from their previous - only 3 years ago - stint in government??
Don't take the electorate for granted - we are not "billy goats".
I am happy with you on the two events - rather monumental both of
    them!!!
    Cheers

  5. I suppose you are familiar enough with the pronunciation of premier in waiting but I will have to hear it a couple more times. I was nearly as excited to see Newman lose as our Kennett so many years ago.

    1. Fun 60, hopefully the third one will be when our federal government replaces our prime minister who still lives in the 1950s and that is most likely going to happen within the next six month. If not, it WILL happen at the next federal election as this man is no longer electable.

  9. Was a very interesting night indeed, I watch the election on ABC 24/7 and it looks as if it could be a hung parliament, but we have to wait and see. Don't follow the soccer, and me being me didn't even know that game was on.

  12. That is a sport I never watch not even the World Cup. Nobody in my family is interested in football not even the men ! We must be exceptions !

  13. Congratulations to your soccer team! I know how exciting a championship win can be.

I am jealous of your country getting a woman as pPemier. I hope to live long enough to see the US get a woman President!

As the result stabilised yet - not much news from Q'land in Victoria!

    1. Still no result yet. May be a by election in Ferny Grove as the PUP candidate was ineligible to stand due to being a bankrupt.
