Looking out of my daughter's window in Vaucluse, Sydney, I saw this daredevil. He was standing on the cliff overlooking the ocean about to tight rope walk across to the next cliff. I was glad to see that he was attached to the rope.
Then he slides back. The view is fabulous from the apartment but this entertainment was a bonus.
I zoomed in for this shot.
Then he edged out, sitting on the rope.
I zoomed out to give you an idea of where he was.
Now gingerly he tries to stand. It took him a few goes. He would fall off and swing back up again.
Amazing.
Wow he's doing it.
Oooops down he goes.
Back up again, now he's got the hang of it.
And makes it to the other side.
Sadly we go home back to Brisbane today. Thankfully it is only a one and a half hours flight.
Now I'm wondering was he alone? I have trouble crossing a creek on a log!
ReplyDeleteThee were others with him.
DeleteWow what a brave man But the landscape is great
ReplyDeletethat's really awesome! glad he was tied on and obviously having fun doing his thing!
ReplyDeleteGod - almost wrote a profanity at seeing this!!!
ReplyDeleteThat - roped on or not - is what I call a "Suicide Mission".
Some clown is bound to try this - minus the "saving" attached
leg rope!
Otherwise beautiful scenery, but I bet that was not foremost
on your mind or camera??
A sunny but not a "sauna" day awaits you here on your return.
Cheers
Colin
Is he joining the circus? Doesn't seem all that safe to me!
ReplyDeletenot only did you have a gorgeous view but a free show as well. i must say the young boy was very brave. he looks like he had previous experience with such undertakings.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a bonus.
ReplyDeleteGreat balance he has. Lovely photos of him, the cliffs and sea..

Oh my gosh Diane, he must be crazy :) what a sight to see from your window :) It never ceases to amaze me the things some people do for kicks :)
ReplyDeleteWe have to give him high marks for determination. Your own entertainment from the window. My goodness, what a daredevil that young man is. I can't help but wonder what his mother would think if she saw him tackle this stunt.
ReplyDeletethanks heavens my daredevil son has never tried that trick. Well, I don't think he has. As the mother of an adventurous spirit, I'm sure that young man knew very well what he was doing. But what a show for you and in such a spectacular setting.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised at how many people do this. We see them here about twice a month.
ReplyDeleteHello Diane, I love the view for sure. But the tightrope walking looks nerve racking to me.. I am glad he was hooked up to the line.. Great shots. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou have to be very brave.
