BLOGGING ON THE ROAD

We are on our way to Tamworth for a reunion of a few friends from a Judo Club we used to belong to in Papua/New Guinea in the 60's. Then we will continue on to the Hunter Valley wine region to visit friends and meet up with our daughter, Carol and SIL, David who are driving from Sydney.

So we headed over the ranges at Cunninghams Gap.

Coming down the other side of the ranges. Then we passed through miles of beautiful grazing country.

We stopped at the quaint country town of Tenterfield to change drivers. The old country houses are beautiful.

This one has been converted into a cafe and B&B. I tried to convince TOH to have lunch here but he wasn't hungry as we had stopped earlier for coffee and cake. We have eaten here before and it is very nice.

Then we pushed on to Glen Innes. It was beautiful weather and not much traffic.

We passed these interesting white Eucalyptus Trees. I snatched up my phone and tried to capture them but I also caught a reflection on the window too.
(all the above photos taken from my phone)

TOH took this great shot. We have been driving through the New England district of northern NSW where it is higher, cooler country so the leaves are getting their Autumn colours.

  12. As you know, I'm not an illiterate with cameras so I am impressed with the photos taken from the phone. I have a 'smart phone' and it's supposed to take pretty good photos but I can't get it to do much. Beautiful drive.
