When I received this photo of Banjo, our grandson, from our daughter Sonya, it reminded me of how Sonya looked at that age. Then TOH said, "He reminds me of me when I was that age." So I dug up some old photos and sure enough you can see that the genes have been handed down in 3 generations.
Banjo 2013 Sonya (mum) c1975 TOH (granddad) c1944
When I was a child people used to ask if my sibling & I were twins when I thought we looked NOTHING alike, and were ~18 months apart. Recently I started looking back through old photos - and have to now (sadly!) admit the resemblance is there!!
ReplyDeleteBanjo looks very much like his mother and grandfather. All three photos are wonderful, Diane.
ReplyDeleteOh yes ! that's really amazing ! You know what I realized, that Toby looks exactly like me when I was his age ! First I thought I have seen this face already, and then I suddenly knew where ... on my old pictures ! He doesn't look like Dario at all when he was two !
ReplyDeleteWow, they really are distinctively family. Bet BB is proud.
ReplyDeleteGenes are always interesting to watch. Yup - Proud grandparents. And you have every reason to be.
ReplyDeletebeautiful comparisons
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny to see how the genes are going through the generations. They realy are look-a-likes all three.
ReplyDeleteI can see it. The same happened with Mother, Sister and Little Jo.
ReplyDeleteYes, absolutely! And isn't it fun to see that! (The three photos would make a nice tryptych for Banjo's album. He won't care about it now, but someday he will!
ReplyDeleteThe likeness is very strong, and each generation looks cute.
ReplyDeletetotally passed down the 3 generations. great photos and amazing to see...
ReplyDeleteThe likeness is amazing Diane, gorgeous little bloke
ReplyDeletesuch sweet faces - no matter whose!
ReplyDeleteYou three cuties you, what great pictures. Definitely a strong gene pool there :)
ReplyDeleteI sure see the genes of both of you in that shot of Sonya!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely like three peas in a pod! Love that you found photos of Sonja and Bill at the same age as Banjo is now.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and yes I agree there is a certain likeness in all of them. Hope all is well there and that you had a good Easter. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteit is so interesting to look at pictures of the various generations and see the similarities. My mom has a picture of one of her great grandmothers that looks an awful lot like my youngest sister.
ReplyDeleteVery creative how you play with words.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Great to see the genes passed down Diane .... all beautiful !
ReplyDeleteI was thinking only the other day about digging out some old photos of me and Kathy and comparing them to Summer.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing your three generations pictures. What a similarity between the three! These would be a perfect gift for your daughter if framed in a side by side frame for three photos!
ReplyDeleteAll of these pictures are wonderful. I think they show that the three people are definitely related.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all it's hard to believe Banjo is that big already!
ReplyDeleteAmazing the resemblances!
Well----Banjo probably looks like BOTH Bill and Sonya.... He's a cutie for sure.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Fox after he gets his haircut....
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy
they really do look alike don't they? cute pics of them all too. esp. Banjo. he's adorable
ReplyDeleteWow that is uncanny how much they look alike...Neat seeing the photos
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun comparison. Banjo seems quite different from his brother but I guess if you placed their photos side by side we would see similarities.
ReplyDeleteI note in an Easter photo that Fox's hair has gone feral again. If I am right, Fox is the spitting image of his daddy ...
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a chip off the old block. And isn't Banjo growing up fast, wow!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely no doubting family ties here Dianne, how fab that you were able to find these comparisons..
