A JOB WITH A VIEW

When we were down the coast recently we walked up from the beach to the road on a board walk.

As I looked up I could see these guys working on an apartment building.
While I was standing there gawking a lady passed me and said hello. It turned out to be a neighbour of ours and she told me that the apartment the guys are working on belonged to her and the guys were fixing the concrete cancer and changing the windows.

They sure had a good view from up there.

Looking south they would see where the Tweed River enters the Pacific Ocean and where the states of Queensland and NSW meet.

TOH with one foot in each state.
By the time I had finished chatting to the lady TOH* and my friends had walked off. I found them on the border in a coffee shop...(where else).

  10. Great pictures and yes I love to star out at the ocean too, it's a wonderful way to relax. Those workers must have a good head for heights. I alas do not ;)

  11. The views must be excellen. Here in The Netherlands these window cleaners are really physically protected. I hope that's also the case in this place.

    Greetings,

  12. Marvellous view. If I lived there I'd never get any chores done, for gazing out at the sea.

  13. View or no view - nobody would get me out there on that ledge.
From being an avid tree climber as a kid, and coming at times to "terra firma" quite suddenly,I am now terrified by heights. I guess and I have blocked it out of my memory something terrible must have happened long ago. I know that once I came down suddenly from a tree clutching two frizzle necked lizards - neither were very impressed. But I am sure it wasn't these two lizards that caused the fear - ha ha!
    Great blog Diane.

  14. I wonder how many people have a photo of themselves astride the two states at Pt Danger (?) - I have one for every time I've visited! The other interesting thing there is being able to see the differences in the road maintenance regime of QLD and NSW!!
