Kooralbyn Kapers

Yesterday we went to visit friends, Martin and Judith, who live at Kooralbyn, a small country town 70 min drive west from here.(Brisbane)

You know you're in the country when you see cows

The view from where Martin and Judith live is lovely. We don't have many mountains in Australia so we get excited when we see blue hills.

They have a very nice garden.......

....and fish pond.

Judith is rescuing a broken duck ornament.

Fleur their Beagle was friendly, she was a champion show dog and breeder but now she keeps Martin company in retirement.

Martin barbecued Swiss sausages for lunch.

These two old Swiss mates go back a long time. To read their story and see Martin's model train project click HERE

  1. Great day out in the bush. A very pleasant drive. ...and that sausage!!

  2. I feel like a fly on the wall that I get to enjoy your trips, your friends and your wonderful country! You always have great friends, great food and great animals and I enjoy my time here so much! Thanks for taking us all along :-)

  3. They certainly do have a lovely view....

  4. Hi Diane, Kooralbyn area looks beautiful. Love the mountains in the background, never forget those having grown up in the mountains. It looks very lush and the garden is also a delight. You are blessed to have such nice friends. But is there not an old saying; "wie's hinein toent, toent's heraus."

  5. Here I go again. I wanted to tell you the picture of Lago Maggiore is beautiful. By the look you two are enjoying the view as well. The Ticino is a wonderful Canton. Even so it is loved and visited by so many it never lost its charm and spell.

  6. Lovely photos, love those Blue Hills :)

  7. Thankyou for your comment on my blog. Certainly very different scenery over here. You have so many wonderful pictures here. I really enjoyed scrolling down and having a good look. The crabhole one really caught my attention. Like a piece of artwork. Landscapes and seascapes are so lovely too. The beagle is so cute.

  8. I love the first photo in this post, with the fluffy white clouds. And I absolutely love the name of your blog. I'll be back.
