ST PATRICKS DINNER

On St Patricks Day we had a special dinner at the village Community Centre. Everyone wore green. We had a new team of Year 12 High School students doing the serving and helping in the kitchen. They did a good job and the chef even complimented them. We enjoyed the meal and companionship and the Irish jokes.

The Village Singers sung Irish Songs.

Bill had recovered from his operation so he could join us.

Students did a good job at serving.

Green dessert.
Orange dessert

Line dancing to Irish music.

Ann the Dinner coordinator thanks the students and their teachers (the first two from this end) Our two chefs are in the background.

We all had a good time.

  2. The line dancing looks very well performed. Who taught the ladies to do that?

  9. Glad you had a happy St. Patrick's Day. It's always been a bit of a mystery to me how the celebration of an obscure saint from a tiny European country got to be celebrated the world over. People plan for it though!

  11. How nice to celebrate ! From St. Patrick we haven't heard anything here, instead we had a lock down for a week for gastroenteritis ! Fortunately I had nothing. Last year the castle was decorated for St. Patrick, but our two animators didn't know him at all ! I have to admit, before starting blogging, I didn't know him either !

  12. I've been away from blogging for what seems like forever, so have just had the best time catching up with your blog way back to around Christmas time. Well, it wasn't all best times for you but I'm so glad to know you came through the hurricane (cyclone) well and also that it seems you are both well at the moment (as much as possible at our certain ages, us too.) Loved seeing both family and friends gatherings around the holidays. I hope the new owners of your lovely community are as great as the ones who just sold. ... (We moved in Oregon to a similar community, proactively planning for when we can no longer travel back and forth to Florida). Loved all your 'look-back' posts too, especially interesting the one where you were contacted about your childhood home through our mutual blogging friend in London. Thanks for all the smiles and stay well. I hope to be a more regular visitor.
