  2. Oh I love this photo. How do you reproduce your old prints so well, Diane?

  5. Always nice to see old photos. How people have changed in clothing, specially the child.

  6. Seeing photos from this time period, I always think about how they had no idea what was coming in a few years.

  7. Clearly they took great pride in their shop ownership, and I love how little Walter is also wearing his apron.

  8. There are some interesting shapes in those aprons, but boy, am I glad I don't have to walk on those cobblestones.

  9. I love the name Walter and was very keen on it for one of our children. But I'm afraid Walter would get reduced to Wally in Australia and you can't be a Wally...that's just too silly.

  10. I like all the detail in this photo. Even the dog got into the picture.

  12. I recognise Aunty Hetti - I can see the family resemblance. But I don't recognise Dad in the small boy? Lovely photo isn't it!

  13. Isn't that just gorgeous. The cobblestones, never seen them like that on the street. Lovely photo..

  14. I am with Margaret, the cobblestones look like they are being laid and not yet finished. A very interesting view.

  15. Nice pictures - the shock is that the house where I was born looked like that in 1963!

  19. Aunty Hedi's one-shoulder apron is an interesting fashion statement. As for those cobblestones, I've walked on cobblestones before & they actually pain your feet. No thanks!
