Two weeks ago I flew across the Pacific Ocean to visit our family, who live in LA. I was a tad busy helping out so I didn't get to post any of my adventures while I was there, but now I am home again I will retell some of things I did there.
In the big city of LA there are 3.9 million people and in the Greater LA area there are 18.5 million.
Four of them are my daughter, Sonya, SIL Bernie, and Grandsons, Fox (5) and Banjo (3).
The boys were excited to see me and were happy to see that I had brought some presents.
Most afternoons, I would go to the park with the boys. It is about 2 mins walk from their home.
One day Fox found Elly, one of his school friends there, she was a very pretty girl. Fox announces that he is going to marry her when he grows up. He leads her into the tunnel........and out the other side. They sure had fun. They are quite a novelty in LA by being blonde and blue eyed. 51% of LA residents are hispanic with dark hair and eyes.
Papa came to the park after work and pushed the swing, while Elly's mom pushed too.
Love is having a see saw together.
Diane, definitely it was a great time for you. Your grandsons are charming
ReplyDeleteWow - you obviously had a good relaxing flight back?
ReplyDeleteI note the changes in Fox and Banjo - I suspect you know what?
Great photos from a very PROUD grandma.
Cheers
Colin
Diane it sounds like you really enjoyed the trip and I love your grandsons. You must miss them when you return home but on the other hand it is a good excuse to go on holiday :) Take care t'other Diane
ReplyDeleteI forgot you were away and just today I thought I must check your last post to see what you were doing and why you had not posted of late. The lads have much shorter hair now and look ever so handsome. Yes, thinking about it, yes LA would have a lot of dark haired people. I remember taking our niece to a large regional town earlier this year, and so many people knew her by sight and name.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photo's and your grandson having his first love already!
ReplyDeleteThe family look lovely...happy times..
ReplyDeleteHello Diane, I know you were very happy to spend time with your cute grandsons and daughter and SIL. They are cuties with their blonde hair and blue eyes. Wonderful photos.

ReplyDeletetoo precious. the boys got their hair cut! :)
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful you could make the long trip to visit your family. Such cute boys and what a great age to have fun with them. Your photo of Los Angeles gives a good indication of how huge it is.
ReplyDeleteThe boys are growing and oh so cute, I can imagine how happy you would be to be visiting them
ReplyDeleteYour LA family are a good looking bunch, aren't they. So hard to leave them and come home again! I wonder how love's young dream works out!
ReplyDeleteThe boys are so handsome, such a beautiful family! Just as well you didn't post from CA as now you can relive the memories while you share them with us.
ReplyDeleteIt is so fun seeing those boys grow up. What dolls!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Diane, your grandsons are gorgeous, bet they just loved having you there.. Fox's little girlfriend is a sweetie :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you had a nice time with the grandkids ! They certainly kept you busy !
ReplyDeleteOh what a nice trip to see the grandkids! I see fun in all the pics.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet photos! Your grandchildren are precious. Looks like you had an amazing time in L.A.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a marvellous time! I wouldn't have thought blonde with blue eyes to be a novelty in the US, but it obviously varies according to location. Fox and Banjo must have enjoyed your visit too.
ReplyDeleteFirst love.... so sweet.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great trip and know you had a wonderful time with your grandchildren and your daughter.
ReplyDeleteLooks, like you also had good weather days, Diane, and nice to see the family photos too.
