We had a few foggy mornings this week. So I dug TOH out of bed and we went to our local lake, Dennis Lake, and took some foggy fotos early in the morning. I can't decide whether I like colour or black and white best. What do you think?

Myself, I prefer the colour photos, Though not a great deal of difference between them. Great foggy scenes well worth getting up for. The spider web is wonderful, looks like little beads, have a great weekend Diane, we have finally got some decent rainfall over here, wheat farmers will now be happy.
ReplyDeleteI can't really say that I like one type better than the other. All of these photos are marvelous. I like the 'mood' of the lake in the fog, but that spider web is absolutely fantastic.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's easy ! I prefer color pictures, I don't like black and white. It's depressing, lol !
ReplyDeleteBlack and white or colour, it's all very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually prefer back and white but in this case I like the atmosphere they create. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDelete3rd attempt to comment :) Beautiful Diane. I like both...
ReplyDeleteDiane, Your photos are very nice. I prefer your colourful photos. Your winter is very friendly and in Poland we have foggy days mainly in autumn.
ReplyDeleteI know it's just my personal taste, but I like the colour better - except for that awesome spider web at the end. I think because the colours are almost monochrome anyway, the colour version looks like they've been shaded. They're beautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely stunning Diane. I love the fog. Hug B
ReplyDeleteHello Diane, I love these foggy scenes and the ducks! Lovely images, all of them! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI think B&W is perfect for foggy pictures.
ReplyDeleteyou're right, they're both nice. i think some of the b&w really make a statement, though. wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOn my goodness, j'adore.. every one a jewel Diane, bravo!
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely! Especially that spider web.
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely! Especially that spider web.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Diane! I love the soft mistiness of everything in the fog. I love fog! You have captured some really lovely images and some very interesting ones. The sparkling spider web is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, worth getting up for. The colour ones have a pleasing subtlety, the B&W have impact.
ReplyDeleteLove the muted colors and the interesting shapes and shadows. As always, wonderful images.
ReplyDeleteMist by a lake is perfect for photography. I really like the ones you have chosen to do in b&w but if they had all been that way they would have been dull I think.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty in both....would be hard to chose color or black and white. The foggy lake makes gorgeous pics
ReplyDeleteI like the ones with the subtle green focal points the best. But more importantly, all your photos make foggy days look magical ... And I'm not usually a fan of them.
ReplyDeleteLove the spider web - and black and white works for that but the others I like the color - you lose some of the soft fog feeling I think when you do b/w with those and I like just those little hints of color. Great series!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I remember that kind of fog!
ReplyDeleteWow, so many amazing pics! LOVE the spider web with dewdrops. Looks like a diamond necklace. It's hard to decide between b&w or color...they both have their strong points. The "mood" of these foggy morning shots is really something.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful. Eerie and other-worldly! The first one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteSuch terrible weather but such bloody great shots as well
ReplyDeleteLove these shots and I like the color ones.. A perfect amount of color in the fog. Also your spider web is awesome
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the magic of fog!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous misty photos. I enjoyed the colour ones for the foggy shots, however, the spider web in last photo, black and white, is a knockout :D)
ReplyDeleteI love these misty photos. A hard choice but the black and white photos are very striking.
ReplyDeleteYour foggy shots are just awesome! And that spider web--wow!!
ReplyDeleteDiane, my vote is for the B&W which look so much more atmospheric and if the cintrast was tuned up just a bit that wiuld really show off better than than the corresponding color shot.
