PARTY TIME

The rehearsals were over and now it was time for the real thing. Last month Fox celebrated his 2nd birthday in the back yard of his apartment in West Hollywood. He celebrated with his parents' friends and their children, his grandparents and aunty from Australia.

Everyone and Fox sang "Happy Birthday"

All those rehearsals paid off and he blew them out like a champion. (He had a plastic knife at the ready)

Enjoying the cake with a friend.

Father and daughter share a joke.

A fire engine cake for Fox.

  2. Great report Diane.
Looks like a great party for the little "bloke". Daddy, Bernie, sure is a very proud father.
Surely that little lawn mower and the handler are not being put into action so soon?
I know that lawns with this excessive rain are growing like mad. Anyhow have plenty of more fun.
Pity the weather here is not like that weather for the "Fox" party in LA.
Smart looking cake for Fox. Never seen one like that before.
    Cheers

  3. In the mid nineties I set up my own homepage using geocities. People were allocated LA areas where they would like their virtual home to be. West Hollywood was a very gay area, and I think it is real life. The cake is fantastic and was the aboriginal art shirt a gift from Australia?

    1. They were mostly Australian guests. The area is populated by actors and Jews.

  5. Looks like a wonderful birthday party ! and what a beautiful cake. They don't do cakes like that here in Belgium. At least I have never seen one like that it's always a traditional round birthday cake with only natural colors !

  7. I would find it hard to cut into a cake that looked quite that wonderful. Alannah loves fire engines ... ummm ... she loves the SOUND of fire engines.

Now, about those elocution lessons. Think hard. What year? Name of the company or the speech therapist? About where in the city? A general idea. When you got off the train at Town Hall did you walk towards the Quay or towards Central? That sort of general ....

I already have two posts as a consequence of today's laneway post ...

    1. Thats testing this poor old memory. I can't remember the therapist's name he was an old bloke with glasses and a bald head. I caught the train to Wynyard. I think I crossed the road and walked up the hill a little and then into the lanes. Sorry its very vague after 50 years and no longer living in Sydney.

    1. Sadly, no. It is shop made. We sent them 2 photos one of the engine and one of Fox and the shop make the edible photo for the top of the cake. Quite neat!
