"Brilliant Bill" or "Ode to a Good Bloke."

In our family, Bill does the cooking and I do the gardening. Bill hates gardening and I'm a hopeless cook. He also has a dicky ticker and should take it easy. However, after my surgery I also was must take it easy. When we had the trees lopped we had some of the mulch left on the grass for us to spread. Now who was going to move it before it killed the grass and before it rained? "Brilliant Bill" offered. So I supervised. I needed it on the pathway next to the vegie patch. Of course that was in a hard to get at place.
At the top of our back garden.

Filling the barrow.

Down the steep hill.

Through the narrow gate (to stop the wallabies from eating the beans). That done he went inside and made some cookies.

Then he cooked lunch

Ham and eggs. Haven't I got a "Good Bloke"?

  1. LOL....dicky ticker. I've never heard it put that way before. I need to marry a cook. It's not something I've ever found fun/interesting/educational/self-fulfilling, etc etc etc ...to do.

  5. You sure do have a special bloke. But he has an equally special one too. You two are so perfect together, just like my grandparents were too. Such a love is hard to find -- you both are indeed blessed.

  8. My man complains about having to mow the lawn and take the bins out, I bring them in. I also do 90% of the housework do have to say he sometimes help on the weekend.

I like to cook but can't see the point as more often the not I cook stuff and no one eats it. I did a stir fry for tea and hubby ate the smallest amount said he wasn't hungry.

  14. You certainly do have a good bloke! Mine does everything except cook-laundry, vacuuming, shopping, and cleaning the toilet, the chore I absolutely hate the most. And, what is a wallaby?
