"Brilliant BB" or "Ode to a Good Bloke."

In our family, BB does the cooking and I do the gardening. Bill hates gardening and I'm a hopeless cook. He also has a dicky ticker and should take it easy. However, after my surgery I also was must take it easy. When we had the trees lopped we had some of the mulch left on the grass for us to spread. Now who was going to move it before it killed the grass and before it rained? "Brilliant BB" offered. So I supervised. I needed it on the pathway next to the vegie patch. Of course that was in a hard to get at place.

At the top of our back garden.

Filling the barrow.

Down the steep hill.

Through the narrow gate (to stop the wallabies from eating the beans).

That done he went inside and made some cookies.

Then he cooked lunch

Ham and eggs.

Haven't I got a "Good Bloke"?

  1. LOL....dicky ticker. I've never heard it put that way before. I need to marry a cook. It's not something I've ever found fun/interesting/educational/self-fulfilling, etc etc etc ...to do.

  2. Thats a very good arrangement ! Mr. Gattino does cooking too and I (sometimes) work in the garden, I don't like it very much but it has to be done, lol !

  3. Yes you do! And a real cutie too if I may say so. Aren't we lucky in this whole wide world of men with Jerk-like tendencies to have found ours that are "keepers"?

BOTH of you take it easy! And you pathway is gorgeous!

  4. You certinly are lucky Diane to have such a good man whowill do the cooking....
Hope you are feelingmuch better now...

  5. You sure do have a special bloke. But he has an equally special one too. You two are so perfect together, just like my grandparents were too. Such a love is hard to find -- you both are indeed blessed.

  6. A lovely man...inspirational ...the pair of you

  7. Hi Diane! Lucky girl!! I do the cooking, but wouldn't do gardening... Never! ;))

The Republic of Uzupis. Never heard? Blogtrotter has it for you… ;) Enjoy and have a great weekend!

  8. My man complains about having to mow the lawn and take the bins out, I bring them in. I also do 90% of the housework do have to say he sometimes help on the weekend.

I like to cook but can't see the point as more often the not I cook stuff and no one eats it. I did a stir fry for tea and hubby ate the smallest amount said he wasn't hungry.

  9. Good to see pictures of a man who can cook. Does his cooking taste good Diane?
I don't like gardening, but like to have a nice garden :) I cook for my house, I cook for my father as well.

  10. What a nice guy:) I love the garden path. You have a very nice place!

  11. Beautiful your blog, your way of life.

  12. You do indeed, three cheers for BB!

  13. What a star you are Dad! I'm so glad to see you both looking after each other! And if there are any cookies left over you could post them to us!

  14. You certainly do have a good bloke! Mine does everything except cook-laundry, vacuuming, shopping, and cleaning the toilet, the chore I absolutely hate the most. And, what is a wallaby?
