It was time to celebrate a birthday with Birthday Bear again. This time it was Mary's birthday, which was last month close to mine but we wait a month to stagger the lunch celebrations. (Read about our Birthday Bear tradition here)
Mary loves gardening and spends a lot of time working in her garden. Recently she accidentally cut a big chunk out of her finger with the shears. She has had it stitched and was administered a tetanus injection and antibiotics. Bear also managed to cut her paw badly while gardening and has it all bandaged up. We celebrated at the Pacific Golf Club in Carindale.
Birthday Bear was already waiting on the table when Mary arrived. Bear has her gardening clothes on including bright red garden gloves. Bear also has a bandaged paw and blood dripping from it. There is a little Dr Bear there too with a stethoscope, head lamp, bandage and a bottle of anti biotic tablets (mints really)

Mary shows Bear her saw finger too.
Helen dressed bear this time and is seen here giving Bear her tetanus shot. The good thing about being retired oldies, is that other patrons don't take any notice of our silly antics in the restaurant.
A handsome waiter took this shot for us. (l to r Bill, George, moi, Bear, Mary, Helen and Ann.)
