WHERE'S THE BEAR

On my walk home through the forest the other day, I saw that the teddy bear had gone from his tree stump. I wonder where? Maybe he has gone on a picnic because our country is starting to ease restrictions. We are allowed to go on picnics in family groups.
The teddy bear that sat on this stump for many days has now disappeared.

I started to notice all the different types of eucalyptus trees we have. They have different types of bark.
I'm not good with botanical names but we call this one a "Spotted Gum".

This one is an Iron Bark.

I don't know the names of these but I like the different patterns and textures.

DIFFERENT AUTUMN TREES

In Brisbane it is Autumn but we do not have many trees that drop their leaves and turn pretty autumn colours because we have a sub tropical climate. However, we do have some colourful flowering trees. Here are a few:

The Flame Tree, ( Brachichiton Acerifolous) native to Australia.

The Jacaranda Tree imported from South America.

The Tibouchina Tree native to Brazil

BARK ART

When we go for our morning walk through the forest, I always marvel at the variety of colours and patterns in the bark of the trees.

From a distance they just look like ordinary gum trees (eucalyptus)

A little closer you can see green ones and........

....white ones and......

....black ones and.....

...orange ones and.....

....pink ones and....

....brown and green ones and.....

....cream ones.... (melaleuca paper bark)

....brown and white ones and...

...blood stained ones ....

...and freckled ones and....

...dimpled ones and....

...spotted ones and...

...... brown and orange flakey ones and....

..more and more and.....

...more different kinds of bark art.
