UNDERWOOD PARK

We took another walk around the lagoon in Underwood Park. It's Spring and the birds are building nests and laying eggs.

  2. When I last visited Australia Dusky Moorhen vied for the most common bird anywhere there was water, and often quite far from it in parks where humans visitors brought food. It was wise to hang around a park bench or picnic table!

  6. I have never heard of magpie geese, but they look serene, don't they? As opposed to magpies who are noisy and hectic.

  8. You are entering into a very lovely season, Diane. Thanks for sharing and here in New England we are looking forward to a very colorful fall followed by (unfortunately) winter.

  11. I wish we were heading for spring, out summer this years seemed to only last far a few weeks. It is cold wet and dismal here, nothing like our usual summery September.
Great set of Photos. I am getting further and further behind. Cheers t'other Diane
