When I last visited Australia Dusky Moorhen vied for the most common bird anywhere there was water, and often quite far from it in parks where humans visitors brought food. It was wise to hang around a park bench or picnic table!
You are entering into a very lovely season, Diane. Thanks for sharing and here in New England we are looking forward to a very colorful fall followed by (unfortunately) winter.
I wish we were heading for spring, out summer this years seemed to only last far a few weeks. It is cold wet and dismal here, nothing like our usual summery September. Great set of Photos. I am getting further and further behind. Cheers t'other Diane
Gorgeous Spring... I keep forgetting you are the opposite of us..we are plodding into Fall and its still icky hot. Today will be 101F. at least we don't have the humidity to contend with. Lovely water lily and Moor hen shots. Sue
It's looking beautiful. Perfect for a Spring day walk.

ReplyDeleteI have never heard of magpie geese, but they look serene, don't they? As opposed to magpies who are noisy and hectic.
ReplyDeleteSplendid photos Diane, so good to see you and Bill out and about enjoying the good weather.
