Although it is cold today there is a glimmer of spring coming in the gardens of our village. Unfortunately I'm hopeless at remembering or even learning the names of flowers sorry about that.
Poinsettia
Rose
cactus
orchid
Our pool has the cover on because it is too cold for swimming even though it is a heated pool.
Lots of colour around despite it still being winter. Your mailbox made me smile.
ReplyDeleteLove the bird on the mailbox, certainly different - the flowers are beautiful and good to see.
ReplyDeleteAs I recently noted about Queensland, cold is a very subjective word. Pick the Victorians in South East Queensland as they will be the ones in short sleeved shirts without a jacket.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are all lovely. I like the cute bird on your mailbox. Take care, enjoy your day!
Interesting to see poinsettias blooming there. Won't see that here until before Christmas when the stores will be filled with them for sale.
ReplyDeletelove the colorful bird art. everything looks beautiful and I was about to comment that its odd to see poinsettia blooming this time of year when I remembered you are in he midst of winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the colorful walk around, Diane, and I am also hopeless at knowing the names of flowers so thank goodness for internet searches. What a fun way to decorate your mailbox and your neighbor did a great repainting job on your bird.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see spring flowers appearing.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea or many people in the village having birds on their letter boxes.
ReplyDeleteWho says you are hopeless at learning flower names? You recognized the same ones I do (rose, cactus... we don't need more detail. It's enough to recognize and share the beauty )). Happy Spring -- hope the pool gets re-opened soon.
