We went to lunch with new friends, Bob and Robyn, from our village. Dot also came but unfortunately, Peter, her husband was in hospital. Bob took us to a Restaurant we had never been to before called the Hunt and Scout. It was in the back yard of an old shop turned into a restaurant. It had an all weather roof but the walls were open to lovely tropical trees, which provided privacy and coolness. The menu was quite good too. I have forgotten the names of the dishes so you'll just have to work it out yourselves.
Lamb something.
Salmon something
Something pasta
Something pie
Bill loved the Hunt and Scout special sausages.
Give a European a nice sausage and beer and they will be content.
ReplyDeleteThose meals look....well....something special.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are busy, having fun during this holiday season. The meals look delicious!
Take care, have a happy day!
I don't read anything about Covid there? Here we are in lockdown again for the second time....
ReplyDeleteNice to see a new post, Diane. It is a busy time of year for many folks and you have been occupied by organizing the next part of your book, a daunting task I am sure. The entrees all looked appetizing, even if nameless Nd gathering sith friends is always special, especially meeting new ones. Hope that Peter is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteSomeone at that restaurant knows how to present food. All those dishes look like delights to eat. Was wondering what had happened to you and glad to hear not another medical emergency.
ReplyDeleteAll "somethings" look very eatable and you certainly didn't starve ! What portions ! Here you get half of that, or you have to go into a restaurant with an English owner, they also serve giant dishes ! Be happy that you are too busy, I have a friend who spends her days in bed sleeping because she doesn't like to read, not to talk about a computer and she is bored to death !! I am happy with my blog, that keeps me busy and forces me to have a certain order in my days. I discovered also old pictures, but as I don't know how to use the scanner, I took pictures of them and they look like new !! even better than scanned !
ReplyDeleteI also intend to take the best posts about my childhood and older, all adventures I had lived and there are quite a few ! At least that keeps me busy because household scores are not an occupation for me, I am glad to have Maria who helps me a lot and keeps the apartment clean. Here they started now with masks for 6 year old ! and vaccin from 12 on !
Welcome back...I love when Life just gets in the way...
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a delightful restaurant with yummy dishes.
Sue
