Mum , Dad and Aunty Ada came to Brisbane for a holiday and to spend time with us. One day we went to Sea world on the Gold Coast. Another time we went to the Sunshine Coast. We took a tour to The Coloured Sands on Rainbow Beach. We visited the Bottle house made of bottles. We played on Noosa Beach and visited the Big Pineapple amusement park.

Nice look back. Those times do seem simpler and more innocent...even though we know they were not.
ReplyDeletegreat photos love from Poland
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and wonderful memories. Hope all is well t'other Diane
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember seeing the Big Pineapple, perhaps one of the first 'big' things. I had to check what happened to the Cherry Venture. It was removed all but the lower hull, which has been subsequently 'risen from the deep' twice, the last time just 2018.
ReplyDeleteGreat memories and great photos Diane :) I love that bottle house!

ReplyDeleteLovely memories - your girls are always so happy and smiling. That Big Pineapple must have been seen by so many people over the years! That must have been something when the Cherry Venture was washed up on shore. Enjoy your weekend, cheerio for now :D)
Wonderful memories. Amazing to see that big ship sitting upright in the sand. It looked like it had been there for a while. I bet Rainbow Beach was spectacular before the photos faded, but I’m sure you can still see it perfectly in your mind.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing these gorgeous photos Diane, I really must get mine in order. Such precious times when the children are growing up 💙

ReplyDeleteThe strange thing is that 1978 seems quite recent to me because by then I was well settled into my 'new' life on the Isle of Lewis.
ReplyDeleteGreat memories here in all these wonderful photos. Sweet photos of your daughters.
