We have just returned from a three day road trip to Grafton and environs. Grafton is famous for its Jacaranda Tree lined streets. It is about a three hour drive from Brisbane south into New South Wales. This time we took the back road through the mountains. Unfortunately it was raining on and off but it was still pretty country and the rain turned the hills green.

It doesn't matter where you look, up or down it is so beautiful.
I love the jacarandas, hubby hates them, but I love them. we had one like this in our front yard at our other home and he fussed all the time about it. these are so gorgeous, up and down, just like you said.

ReplyDeleteWhile we didn't see them, Pretoria in South Africa is the jacaranda king of the world. Further planting of them has been banned. They of course were in bloom in SA when we were there two weeks ago. Seasons seemed much the same.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in California and there were jacaranda trees on our street. Lovely, but my mother hated them because they were "messy " trees. Yes, I s'pose they are, but the magnificence is worth it, IMHO. To others, maybe not.

The Jacarandas are beautiful. I haven't noticed any here in Adelaide yet so will have to go out and about to see if they are in flower. Our neighbour used to have a lovely tree but they had it chopped down for some reason and I really do miss it as it added such a lovely look to the street. Thanks for the photos.

ReplyDeleteOne tree I truly miss they are so gorgeous. We had one street in Salisbury (now Harare) that was one white and one blue the full length of the street, stunning when in full flower. I had one of each colour in our garden as well, wish they would grow here. Have a fab weekend t'other Diane

The jacarandas really are too beautiful en masse like this Diane.. I love rainy day shots like this, gorgeous scenery in the National Park and of course I adore the Art Deco building, I hope they always treasure it ✨
