Continuing My Story
After Christmas in 1974 I took the girls to Sydney for a short holiday to see my parents and for them to see their grand daughters. Bill had to go to work. Carol fell asleep on the plane and Sonya cried because she had pain in her ears. It was fun trying to carry both of them out of the plane with a bag, and down stairs in those days. Finally, I got the attention of a flight attendant to help me. Grandma and Granddad took us to a park to feed the ducks.

What on earth am I wearing??? This activity probably led to my back problems now.

I loved my babies.

ReplyDeleteThe love shines through in those photos. Your mum must have been so excited to entertain you all in her home.
ReplyDeleteSweet momories, I had to laugh too about your shirt and tie!. The old photos are unfortunately mostly changed into weird colours. I have some orange ones :(
ReplyDeleteThose are terrific photos as they truly convey the story.
ReplyDeleteHello, that must have been some trip on your own with two children. Wonderful photos of you and your girls and the grandparents. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteCute pictures and great memories. I'm glad you were able to preserve these photos.
ReplyDeleteprecious memories in these photos. and i had not thought about my back problems, but i did the same thing, i had 2 in diapers at the same time and carried both at times. to say nothing of back breaking job of hanging out diapers for 2 and folding them
ReplyDeleteLove the blue shirt and red tie :-) I did not carry babies and I still have a bad back. Blame mine on horses instead!! Hope you have a good Sunday. T'other Diane
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...what beautiful memories you have shared here <3
ReplyDeletePrecious photos and such lovely memories.
ReplyDeleteMany of us carried our babies together as you did.
Sweet memories! Your girls look so much like you. (Or sort of the other way round, looking at younger you in these pictures.)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it hurts when I look at these old pictures when I was a young mother. I was lucky I mean for my back, my little son hated to be carried, lol !
ReplyDeleteThat's an armful! Restoring color on the old photos is a challenge and you did a good job. I used to take 3 little ones on a plane to Florida to visit their grandparents, so I understand your back pain. My biggest problem was always corralling them as they all wanted to be on their own two feet and going in different directions.
