ANY EXCUSE

Firstly, I will answer the questions on yesterday's post. Most of you got the country right. It was Australia even though the traffic looked like it was on the right it wasn't really. It was a dual carriageway with both the lanes going in the same direction on the left of the road separated by trees from the right side. The "p" plate on the car denotes a probationary driver. (newly licensed). Thanks for joining in the fun.

Our friends and us find any excuse to go out for dinner.

One of our friends, Karen, is still teaching as she is quite a bit younger than us. However, she is taking long service leave soon and travelling to U.K. and Europe for the first time. So we invited her to dinner to say goodbye and for her to tell us of her upcoming adventures.

Some of the yummy meals.

  3. What a fun dinner you had!
One of my favourite things about Australia has always been the concept of "long service leave". I think it's wonderful. I wish Karen all the best in her travels.

That's interesting to put a P on the car for new drivers. We have to put an "L" on the car when one person learning and is not allowed to drive alone !
