ADVENTURE IN FRANCE (Part3) The Riviera

The first morning in Cannes we had a real continental breakfast. Bill was in heaven.

One of the famous Riviera beaches (not as good as Queensland beaches)
The rich and famous play things.

We walked up a steep hill into The Old Town
View of Cannes from The Old Town

Walking down through the narrow streets
David and Carol checking out the menu for the night's dinner.
Narrow streets lined with restaurants. An unbelievable choice.
The spice stall at the local markets.
The Grande Theatre of Cannes Film Festival fame.

Nice's aqua sea.
Ouch! Pebble beach of Nice.

Another adventure over.

  1. Yeah, this beach reminds me of the beach in Santorini, grey and rough. That is the one thing we are spoilt with here, beautiful soft beige-white beaches.

I don't know if you planned it that way, but I love the night photo.

  2. I have never had a true, honest to goodness continental breakfast. The hotels and motels here try to copy them but nope...I doubt they come close. Unless maybe I spent more money for hotels/motels. Wow..I've lead a pathetic life, right? :)

  3. Diane, your other pics were stunning, but THESE are something else! I am just in LOVE with the windows one. Any chance of it being a screen saver? If I ask very, very nicely?

How can you sleep at night with your holiday so soon????

  4. Sure, you can use the pic of the windows. I am honoured such a talented artist as yourself would ask. Actually on that holiday my arty daughter and I were having a competition to see who could shoot the best pics. She usually wins but I made a few nice ones too. All of the shots here are mine except the night time one.
Of course they all look better before being resized.

  5. Lucy how can you say that. You live in a vibrant desert and you travel to LA and Utah. It sounds exotic to me.
Is it possible for you to move to a cooler climate?

  6. Hi Diane!

I wanted to stop by and thank you for your sweet comments.:)

    I love your pictures.

I, too, was recently in Cannes, although I did not see very much of it....we spent most of our time in Nice and Ez.

The aqua beaches of Nice took my breath away while we were there.

I have posted about my Mediterranean trip, but have not gotten to Cannes yet. Hopefully, I will be able to soon.

I will be back to see more!

    God Bless,
    Amy:)
