COUNTRY QUEENSLAND

In August last year we decided to explore a little of this big state of ours.

First stop was Hervey Bay and Fraser Island


We went whale watching from the air taking off from the beach on Fraser Is.



Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island, the sand is so fine it is good for cleaning jewellery.

We went for a sunset dinner cruise along the Thompson River in Longreach. It was one of the highlights of the trip.

The Historic Corones Hotel. We had an interesting tour called "Tea and Tales " we also visited the Cosmos Centre and the Bilby Centre.

Of course we couldn't miss out the oldest winery in Queensland at Roma.

Last stop before home was Dalby.
