We went to QPAC to see the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" with daughter Sonya and husband Bernie. It was a great performance and we all enjoyed it very much. Sonya works at QPAC as Head Workplace Health and Safety Officer. So she gets free tickets for her and Bernie. She always gets good seats for us.
QPAC is an amazing complex. In 1976 architect Robin Gibson was commissioned for an ambitious project that would bring together a performing arts centre, art gallery, museum and library on the river edge at South Bank. There are five theatres, the Lyric Theatre, the Concert Hall, The Playhouse, The Cremorne Theatre and the new Glasshouse Theatre, which is where we saw 'Fiddler on the Roof'.

I can certainly see why the new theatre is called The Glasshouse. It's interesting.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a evening and musical. Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThey all look wonderful Denise. Nice to see the musical.
ReplyDeleteThe theatres look very traditional and elegant, but the exterior looks totally different.
ReplyDeleteA great show to see and rather nice you had good seats too.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Such a treasure for a performance center
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing evening that must have been. Incredible architecture too. Fiddler on the Roof was Gregg's all-time favorite movie.
ReplyDeleteThe theatres look amazing and a great venue. It's a long time since we went to the theatre for a live performance, might have to see what's on here as I have always enjoyed live theatre and musicals.
ReplyDeleteThe Glasshouse Theatre is very impressive and how nice to watch a good show. Already humming some tunes.
