I walk in the mornings with my three friends for an hour through the forest or through the local park. In the afternoons I try to dig Bill out of his computer chair and go for a walk around the village. Yesterday I took some shots of the lovely gardens. It is difficult to have a brisk walk because neighbours keep stopping you for a chat but that is nice to feel part of a friendly community.
Rose arbor over the pedestrian entrance to the village.
There are some terrific gardening efforts. I am not so sure about the live table decoration though.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so beautiful at this time of the year. The python is long and looks well fed. With so many pythons around I suspect you don't have a problem with rats or mice.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are all beautiful. I would keep my distance from that python. Take care, have a great day and happy weekend.
I can see you live in the other side of the world, here we are losing flowers and leafes because of autumn and winter is coming next.
ReplyDeletethe lilly pilly is gorgeous and love that cactus flower. so many beautiful flowers on your walk. the snake is a nice attractive one but would not want him on my deck. we like our black snakes, but the python is alittle much.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers look stunning! I wouldn't like an encounter with the phyton snake, even though he's not venomous.
ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung there!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers do look healthy and pretty. Don't know about that snake, would have to keep my distance.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen that cactus flower. It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see all these flowers ! You start the season I love the most. I start the season of stripteasing trees !
ReplyDeleteThere should be a sign, Please Don’t Irritate The Python! I assume he doesn’t mind having his photo taken however. 🙂 Your flowers are beautiful at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteYikes on the python..don't like them at all !!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers on your walk and chatting with the neighbors is a lovely thing to do.
Sue
The flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat 🐍 - yikes!
Hugs and blessings, Diane 💐
The flowers are lovely. A walk around Kandos is a bit like that too, people always ready for a nice chat.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gardens... not so much the snake!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see such colorful blooms, Diane, and how nice to stop and chat with neighbors although it does slow down a walk.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful blog of flowers all so different to what we have here especially now as you are in spring. Love the lost shot of the python, a snake I am particularly fond of.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Cheers t'other Diane
A python bite is scary - I know.
ReplyDeleteTry 12 feet wrapped around your legs - you'd be surprised how far and high you can jump!
Finschhafen in PNG - 1965!!!
The python was found by the "callibose" the next day and displaced to the Snake
Happy hunting grounds. I confess I did not pray for it!
The flowers are great.
Colin
Love seeing your village flowers as the snow falls here in CO. So glad you're getting outside for walks. Stay well!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful time of year in your tropical paradise. I'd be happy if it were only the carpet snake sharing my gardens.
ReplyDeleteNot too sure about the snake!
ReplyDeleteYour gardens are beautiful, such lovely colour.
All the best Jan
Beautiful neighborhood. Yes, here at our Florida resort it is important to exercise-walk early -- both because of hot days (even in our winter) and because later on you get stopped by friendly neighbors. But I agree with you -- that's the fun part of living in a friendly community. I try to do both often.
