We went to Underwood Park. It has been raining for weeks and the lagoon flooded over the boardwalk but we had a little dry spell and the water subsided but left the lagoon brown. We enjoyed our walk in the sun.
you have rain that will not stop and we can't get it to start, maybe ours is pouring out and down and flooding you and leaving us dry. that swamp is stunning. I love swamps
That looks so much like here in Florida during rainy season (the coffee-colored water and the cypress trees growing in it especially). But I know you've had more rain than you should have and I hope this means it is subsiding and you'll be able to get out whenever you want .
My daughter returned yesterday from a visit to your wet part of the world. She has lived in Brisbane in the past and just couldn't believe how much rain there was. Couldn't get through to visit her cousin in Laidley. Great for the ducks though! Hope it stays dry for a while now and you get to enjoy many more lovely walks.
Such a different sight for me to see! Our snow melted very quickly and already it is very dry here again. I hope we get some rainstorms this summer and I hope you dry out a bit.
Hope it was only the boardwalks that were flooded. The ducks are enjoing the extra water.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that glimpse of Underwood Park, totally unlike any landscapes we see over here.
ReplyDeleteThe trees must be accustomed and survive very wet feet. Pretty place.
ReplyDeletePretty scenes from the park and your walk. Take care, enjoy your day!

ReplyDeleteWhile you have too much rain others are stuck in severe drought. It seems th winds do not move clouds around like in past.
ReplyDeleteThe picture with the ducks is a great capture!
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of photos Diane.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice to walk after a long period of rain ! Love the duck picture

ReplyDeleteBe thankful for the rain. No fire warnings with wet woods.
