MORE RAIN

After three days of sunshine, it has started to rain again with a loud thunder storm this morning. I feel sorry for the poor people who had started to clean up their houses and businesses. There was a lot of furniture and belongings piled up on the footpaths but the new storm just washed all the rubbish into the river.

Flooding the bus station

Water receding.

Clean up starts

          Rains again.

  1. I cannot imagine what it must feel like having to through all your belongings into a skip.

  2. A terrible thing to have to live through; having ones property flooded. It seems to be happening more and more in the UK too, though not as spectacularly as the recent floods in Australia. With such terrible things happening elsewhere in the world it's been difficult to find out what else is occurring in other places.

  4. The floods in the UK have also been devastating, and sad to see the belongings of many washed away. Hope the weather will be improving soon.

  11. That rain and flooding was absolutely terrible, the pictures and your words made me shiver. -- I read both posts and your subsequent ones, so one advantage of being so late catching up is that at least I know you were safe and well (and now getting dry thank heavens.) But oh my gosh that rain bomb was terrible. From living in Oregon, we are used to rain but it was never like that. (Even less unfortunately lately, because climate change has caused a drought there while you are flooding!)
