Just outside our front entrance we have a Callistemon Tree. They are commonly called bottlebrush trees because of their cylindrical brush like flowers. They are endemic to Australia and are found mainly in the temperate regions along the east coast. The birds and the bees love them. There are about 50 different species.
In the morning.
In the afternoon.
Buds blooming or blooming buds.
I love coming home from my walk to be greeted by this scene.
It certainly is the time of the year to see colour in gardens. I think our callistemon bloom a little later.
ReplyDeleteThey are such pretty trees when they are flowering.
ReplyDeleteWe always had them in the gardens in Rhodesia, I also love them. I have seen them here but they do not seem to grow as easily. Take care, t'other Diane
ReplyDeleteHello Diane,
ReplyDeleteThe bottle brush blooms are beautiful. It is a pretty tree to have near your door and home.
Take care, enjoy your day!
This tree is a lovely sight to see, Diane, and it was a first sighting for myself through your post.
ReplyDeleteWe had one of those when we lived in St Petersburg but we had to leave it with the house when we moved here. But it was not nearly as gorgeous as this one
