I love walking along a beach just where the waves ripple up the sand and leave a wet, hard surface with reflections. So while I was on a mini holiday at the beach with my little family from Melbourne, I did just that.
I saw Fox kicking the football with his dad.
Then I came across Banjo making a pen for the little crabs he had caught.I set off towards the south this time. Coolangatta and Tweed Heads, the twin towns on the border of NSW and QLD are in the distance.
The next day it was time to say goodbye to Sonya, Bernie, Fox and Banjo as they were flying back to cold Melbourne that evening. They enjoyed our warm Autumn weather.
This colourful group were doing some type of training.
Splish-splosh-splash through the water. A bit too cold for me to go surfing but not for others.
Time to turn around and head back.
I searched for pieces of coral for Fox to add to his collection.
Then I was back to the surfing area opposite our accommodation.
Just love these two guys.
Awww - lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteI feel jealous when I see your photo's. It all looks so relaxed to see people having fun with each other. Here it is all misery, at least I get my first vaccination this week and in May the second. Our government works so slowly like syrup.... It seems we never get out of this Covid misery.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI love walking on the beach. Your trip with the family looks like a fun time for all. Your grandson are growing quickly, you have a beautiful family and photos. Take care, have a happy day!
I would have been leaving for a visit to Australia in July but COVID put an end to those plans. It's great to see that at least somewhere in the world normal life goes on!
ReplyDeleteNice to see more photo of your long awaited family get together, Diane.
ReplyDeleteWhat an ideal setting for family fun.
ReplyDeleteThat is a truly awesome family photo and you will forever remember that that trip to the beach. Your boys are so handsome and growing so fast and I loved every single one of your photos of the beach and I to love to walk where you describe that you like to walk. Love that colorful group of people. And I love that town
ReplyDeleteWhat a very pleasant spot to meet up with family. Which of the grandsons is older?
ReplyDeleteFox is ten and Banjo is eight. Banjo is taller than Fox. Fox has blonde hair Banjo has brown hair.
DeleteA wonderful beach vacation with your family! I'm sure you made lots of good memories. The boys are growing so fast! Very handsome.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful photos of the beach and waves, Diane, and more important your family and handsome grandboys! They looked like they had a wonderful time enjoying a beach vacation and time with you and Bill.
ReplyDeleteI love to beachcomb and have filled quite a few bowls with shells over the years. This looked like a good beach to explore.
We have the beaches but there's a slight difference in temperature!
ReplyDeleteGood times with family and nice warm weather too. I love to walk on the beach too but these days I have trouble walking very far, but just to be at the beach is time well spent.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I’m glad you were able to spend time together in the warm weather.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a lovely part of the world. X
What a lovely blue sky. I love walking the beach, too. I’m glad your family was able to have some wonderful days together in the warm sun.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a perfect place for a reunion with your family. I enjoyed your walk on the beah.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy and lovely post
ReplyDeleteLove the portraits of your handsome grandsons. And the other lovely shots of your family holiday, especially that one of the colourful people training with their reflections.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you were and the boys had a lot of fun !
ReplyDeleteFor Toby the lockdown is nearly normal life he plays on the street with his buddies and they have 5 min to the sea to play in the sand. Of course the see is grey and not so beautiful, but it better then in the middle of a city where it is too dangerous to play outside ! We are waiting that the Bus excursions can open to go nowhere doesn't matter only be able to move ! One good news I got yesterday, Ric will be transferred to the rehabilitation center which I had asked for, because it's beautiful and specialized for Parkinson it's 20 km from here but that doesn't matter I didn't want him to be in Brussels. On the countryside people are more friendly and you feel almost on holidays !
I'm so happy you could finally be together as a family and just plain enjoy life.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and especially the one of the people training..great colors and reflections.
Sue

ReplyDeleteLooks like you almost had the beach to yourselves.
