NO CLOSURE

Great news, the forest tracks haven't been closed instead of a closure sign, which we were expecting we got this sign. Maybe because we are flattening the curve. So sorry for all my American friends.

I'm so happy that I can keep walking in here every morning and finding beauty everywhere.

  3. YAY, so happy it is not closed. we may have signs, I have not been off our property in 4 weeks except to dart to get food and supplies. this sign sounds like what they are trying to come up with to do when we can open up again.

  4. As long as people are sensible it makes sense for it to remain open.

  5. Glad to hear that you still have somewhere to stretch your legs. The paths around here are open though I avoid some which are really too narrow to maintain distance if you meet someone coming in the opposite direction. Take care.

  6. So much is closed now, it means a lot to be able to walk in Nature. Must you wear a mask? I am exercising wearing a "buff" which is a lightweight tubular piece of material that I use to protect my face when skiing in cold weather. I keep it loose around my neck and can easily pull it up if I meet someone. I'll also use it at the grocery store next time we go - it is advised that everyone in CO wear face covering when in public.

  7. Glad to see these forests from your forest walk, Diane, and hope that everyone keeps their distance so it will remain open for everyone to share in its beauty.

  10. I am so glad you can still walk in your lovely forest. Makes me feel a little guilty because I have lovely forest paths within my reach and never walk them ... I find keeping up with the gardens enough exercise in my day.

  11. They have opened all parks too but only the people from the municipality in which the park or wood is are allowed to go in there keeping distance as senior or pregnant woman you are allowed to sit on a bench, the others have to keep walking. So I can go in my Waterloo park or wood but couldn't go on the other end of Brussels ! Don't care, I don't like walkinng when there is nothing interesting to see. Nice for you. I must say in my area people are diciplinated but in Brussels the police has a hard work especially in poor areas !

  12. I just read your last post where you thought the woods would be closed, was so happy to read here that this wasn't the case if following the distancing rules. I know how much you enjoy this walk and it is good to get that exercise. It was hot here the last two days but looks like cooler autumn days from now on. Happy Easter to you both Diane 🐇🐰

  15. That’s wonderful! I just bet you had a beautiful Easter walk this morning on that very path. We still have a few places we can walk but the bugs and the alligators don’t make them as enticing as a week or so ago.

  16. Awesome news. I was sad when I had read about your forest closing.... So many parks, etc. around here are closed. We'll be glad when things are better and they can start opening things back up here.

    Happy Easter.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  17. I'm so glad there are places for you to continue to walk.
It's the best therapy for body, mind and soul.
Life does go on and I think when it's all over we will come out of this stronger and kinder..more caring of those around us.

  18. I find it uplifting every time I read of any restrictions lifting, especially when, like with your walk, it adds to the quality of life for people. So glad your lovely bushland is still open to you.
