BLOGGER BOTHER

Is anyone else having issues with blogger?
I can't reply to comments.
I can't comment on my own post.
I can't delete spam comments.
Grrr frustrating
The format seems to have changed, the nav bar is different, there is no pencil icon for editing posts, there is no delete icon to remove unwanted posts??????

  6. I had issues and went to the settings to figure out what was up. I deleted my google plus account as it is being phased out. Then I did a shut down and reboot. I had to reboot twice and when I signed back into blogger all worked fine again. Be sure to update the iPad too. Hope this helps.

  7. Mine seems OK too, though I did notice I and a few others seem to have lost our profile pictures. These glitches often seem to resolve themselves.

  8. If you are on Google plus then you might well have a problem as they are stopping it at the end of the month. If not on plus than I don't know. Google appears to have removed all my sent emails - a real pain to say the least of it. Technology........... Hope you are feeling better t'other Diane

  10. Frustrating! Just read this and have done a quick check on my blog of the things you mention. All ok. Hopefully, yours is back to normal today :D)

  11. Yes, I had similar problems - think I lost some comments and KNOW some of my comments to other blogs did not get through. I hope it all fixes up with time - which possibly means IMO someone has fixed things up as well,

  12. I could not make comments from Safari on my Mac and had to install Chrome as my browser to fix the problem. At that stage I could still reply on my iPhone but now comments don't work there so I have to wait until I am using my Mac.

I accidentally turned of the facility for comments to arrive in my email box by unsubscribing from the comment stream and now I don't seem to be able to get them back so have to check who has sent comments.

So you are not alone with having troubles, especially if you are using apple devices and Safari.

  14. I have nothing. My blogs are all the same, no troubles whatsoever. I would check the settings, I had that once long time ago, something had changed in the comment section it was suddenly a private blog, why, I never could find out. I changed made a reset and it worked again.

  15. Your comments have changed from being embedded too which is a pain (settings/posts, comments and sharing/embedded). It very much looks like your settings have been altered.

I did have problems using Firefox after its latest update and am now using Chrome.

  16. I rarely am ever able to reply to comments when I am using my iPad on blogger (9 times out of 10), so have to wait until I can get back on my laptop. I can also reply on my iPhone but even with my reading glasses on I have a hard time seeing what I am looking at. Mostly I have to wait until I can use my laptop. If I edit anything on my iPAD I have to change it to html and then change it back to compose. It's fiddly. I wish they could update their software to talk to each other properly!

    1. Yes Thanks to "Frog and Penguin" blogger, I have sort of fixed the problem. It is to do with Apples new update Mohave program's security. AS you say Blogger needs to make their program compatible to all devises and all operating programs.

  17. Replying to comments made to you on your own blog is in your settings somewhere. Also do not use Google Plus. Someone somewhere wrote that Blogger also has a help forum. Sorry I am meager in help but I know how panicked and isolated this can make a blogger when stuff is not working.

I do hope you can get things sorted soon.

  19. Diane, quite often I have had problem with the Blogger dashboard header going away. It's the one that has this info:

xxxxxxxx@gmail.com New Post Design Sign Out

And what happens is that I only get Sign In to display. I asked Why his was happening on a Blogger support group and received a reply from that certain cookies can cause this to happen. So what I have been doing on my Apple PC is to go to Safari/Preferences/Manage Website Data and selectively delete certain unrecognized sites (not ones I recognize as it could delete the passwords, etc). And nearly every time, the dashboard header info will come back....But then it can happen again. And, sometimes the cause is clicking on another blogger's she which is very disheartening.

I don't know how to clear website data on a Windows PC or even IF this is the same problem you re having, but maybe it's related.

It's all very frustrating and I wonder if those using the Wordpress blog platform have similar issues?

  20. I haven't had a problem lately but I did a while back. I just kept sending feedback (clicking the 'feedback' button in the bottom right corner) and, after a while, it cleared up. You might google how to clear cookies on whatever you are using (if you don't k now how) and restart but other than that, I have no advice. I have a wordpress blog just so I can comment on other wordpress blogs, but I, personally, don't like all the clicking that it takes to upload photos. You might have a different experience if you switch.
Whatever happens, good luck and don't give up!! I like visiting your blog and will keep your health in my prayers.

  21. I have no problems as of yet and I hope none appear. I also hope you are able to correct it all without a lot more frustration. I see Betty's comment above mentioning prayers for your health. I'm out of the loop so will catch up and send up a prayer for you too Diane.

  22. I still have all those things and the blog works the same as ever (thank goodness), but I hear rumblings from elsewhere.
