We are getting the hang of being Grandparents.
We go to the park.....
then onto the Grove mall....
where Fox shows us where the 'yo yo' shop is (frozen yogurt).....
and Granddaddy finds a coffee shop. Then home for lunch and a sleep.
In the afternoon we play in the back yard.
(photos by Bill's phone.)
How sweet. Don't you just love 'em?
ReplyDeleteOMG - you look aged ( at last!)
ReplyDeleteThe last photo will also (alas for you) go to the memory box. ha ha!
Fancy having little Fox have to push you around!!! Tut Tut!
I shall make no comment on Grossvati and his coffee mug! Words fail me.
Anyhow, it does appear that you and the dear old, Grossvati, are having a wonderful time.
Keep enjoying the wonderful experience, and pray that Carol-Anne on arrival will take up some of the duties. You will need all the strength possible, when you arrive back here with you "gardening duties"!!!
Great blog "Sis", I don't know how you manage it all.
Colin (HB)
I hope you have been in training for this most wonderful but energetic of times!
ReplyDeleteYou have a full time job again, never a dull moment.
ReplyDeleteomg, your grandson is sooo cute!!!
ReplyDeletelove all of your adorable shots with your grandson. ah, those precious moments!

xoxo
And isn't it all just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGrandpa looks a little tired in that coffee photo - MORE coffee! LOL You look like you totally have the hang of being a Grandma, you are a natural for sure!
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to be able to enjoy your grandchildren like this. Have a wonderful and blessed time with them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessed and amazing time, it looks like your grandson is wearing you both out! Who napped? ;-) Precious times indeed!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! xxxx
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me that you are doing a great job of learning to be grandparents. I do think, however, that Grandpa looks as happy with his coffee as Fox does with his yo-yo.
ReplyDeleteBeing a grandparent is exhausting. I find consecutive days a challenge. I enjoy it, but hang out for the midday sleep come the second day!
ReplyDeleteI think we will be pooped after 3weeks of it. I too look forward to afternoon nap time. But it is very rewarding. Fox is such a great kid.
DeleteCould not agree more. Totally rewarding, and would not be without for quids. Enjoy while you can.
DeleteHello Diane, I remember those times, it is a gogo...time, but lots of fun and bonding with the grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky, I could never have children so therefore no grandchildren. Enjoy, Diane
ReplyDeleteYou've both definitely passed your "L"'s :D)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun for you, and for Fox.
ReplyDeleteK
You Speed Demon on that trike!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every moment!
Hi Diane, You don't have to 'learn' to be a grandparent... It just comes naturally... What you do need though is a dose of extra energy!!!! Bet you and Bill both sleep well at nights.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
I love that you are having such a great time together!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the photos of your fun with Mr. Handsome Boy!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane, I see you and Bill are keeping very busy! And probably everyone needs a nice, long nap when afternoon rolls around....
ReplyDeleteOh too much fun! And look at Fox pushing you around the yard ;>)
ReplyDeleteBusy people and enjoying every minute of it, I bet! :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun and keep up with the Nana naps :)
Diane, I am sure you and Bill are having a great time being grandparents. I am sure you daughter loves having you there to help too. Fox is a real cutie!
ReplyDeleteLunch and a sleep - for the grandparents too?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you get an afternoon sleep! Grandparenting is hard work every step of the way but such a privilege too.
ReplyDeleteI am in Asterdam to babysit for 2 days, but it rains and I can't do anything but staying inside ! Fortunately he is a very easy going baby, when the parents are not there, lol !
ReplyDeleteVery cute pictures of your grandparent's job !
You are the fun kind of Grandma! I hope I will be when my turn comes.
