While we were at Yellowstone N.P. we visited the West Thumb Geyser field and yellowstone Lake.
Steam rises out of the ground.
Boiling water springs out of the ground.
The lake was like a mirror.
Ponds of boiling water surrounded by calcium carbonate of different colours.
This whole area is part of a huge caldera of the biggest volcano on the continent and it is still classed as active.
