We were still heading towards Albany, the southern most tip of Western Australia. The tour bus made a detour into the Stirling Ranges where we had a date with a local guide, who is an expert on wildflowers.

We met the guide here. She told us it takes 4 hours to walk up and back. We didn't have 4 hours so she took us on a short walk.
The views were stunning before we descended into........
The bush, where there were hundreds of different wildflowers. The guide explained what they were and
how rare some of them are. This is the tiniest little orchid.
After an hour of exploring this fabulous flora we.........
took one last look at the view from Bluff Knoll and boarded the bus for Albany. We had been through desert, along the coast and into the mountains. Wonderful scenery and wildflowers all the way. We were not finished yet.
