Our group of Birthday Bear friends celebrated Mary's birthday recently. The birthday lunch was some weeks after Mary's birthday because she had her eyes operated for cataracts. Believe it or not but Birthday Bear had to have exactly the same procedure.

Unlike Mary, Bear has not quite recovered yet. She also has her eye vision testing chart handy to see how she is progressing.
Bear is wearing her theatre gown and a label telling surgeons which eye to do. She has her eye drops ready and as always the obligatory grapes. Her glasses, no longer needed, lie on her tray table. Bear understands how Mary felt over the past few weeks. Bear hopes that Mary will take her home and help her recover fully in time for the next birthday celebration.
Bear is a bit sad that she is not up to sharing in the fish that we had for lunch. She will stick to her grapes.
Mary is looking great after her eye operations.
