We left our rustic but comfortable cabin in Chillagoe and we were bussed back to the Savannahlander Train to continue our 4 day tour of north west Queensland.
There were only 19 passengers on the train so we could have a seat each. TOH has bought a Savannahlander hat to go with his collection. George our friend is writing up his photo list.

We continued through the savannah country which took us over some narrow bridges and many dry river beds. In the wet season the bridges are under water.

Some still have a little water and looked very pretty.
However, in no time the drivers had set up an umbrella and produced hot water, tea , coffee, biscuits and cake on top of a pile of sleepers and then invited us to the 'Bullock Creek Cafe.' It sure was a unique cafe. They gave us a plastic cup to use and keep as a souvenir. The writing on the cup says,"This cup was stolen from the Bullock Creek Cafe." Tourists are asked to take it with them on other tours and photograph it in other places in the world and upload the photo to their website. Later I had a photo taken with the cup at the northern tip of Australia.
The station manager drove by and stopped to show his granddaughter the train. It only passes twice a week so it causes a bit of excitement with the country kids.
Then it was back in the train to pass more lovely scenery until we stopped for lunch at the Einasleigh Hotel.

There were a some locals, real "Crocodile Dundees", having a beer.
After lunch we went for a walk to Copperfield Gorge.
