SUNSET AND SUNRISE AT THE BEACH

To try and warm up this winter, we booked an apartment at the beach for a few days to catch some sunshine. We went with our Birthday Bear Group to celebrate my birthday (a month late).

 We arrived at Woorim Beach on Bribie Island in the afternoon. We met up with our friends and sat on the balcony of the resort. We soaked up the sun and the view, while eating Bill's apple pie for afternoon tea. We looked across Moreton Bay towards Morton Island. That island protects  this beach so the surf is only gentle and small.

 It is only 100k away from home.

 As the sun set behind us it lit up the clouds over the bay. The moon was rising too.

After the sun disappeared the pastel evening arrived.

 My point and shoot takes a pretty good close up.

 On the other side of the apartment we saw the sun set over the hills in the distance. We walked next door to the Surf Club for dinner. Back at the unit, we watched lit up ships leaving the Port of Brisbane and heading out of the bay to sea. Then we all turned in early, which meant we were up early to see the sun rise over the water. It was a magic scene.

 We had a few lazy days here and Birthday Bear's Dinner, which I'll show you in future posts, hopefully without boring you.
