LAST WEEK

A friend told me about a cheese shop in Mt Cotton. Since Bill loves cheese, we went for a drive to explore the cheese shop. We weren't disappointed and came home with a bag full of cheese.

Bill enjoys going for scoot around the village and stopping to chat with neighbours.

John with Bonnie the dog.

On the weekend we were invited to Sonya's house for lunch. The house is still being renovated but its getting close to finishing. Bernie is doing most of the work himself. He buys a lot of items from FB Marketplace. Fox has a broken finger from playing football.

Every month I go to lunch with a group of ladies who we met through U3A classes. This day we went to a dumpling restaurant. I shared this dish with a friend.

Sonya, Bernie and Banjo came to visit on Sunday. Banjo enjoyed trying out Grandad's scooter.

We went to a local Thai restaurant for lunch. Fox stayed home because he didn't feel 100%. Its so good having them live in Brisbane now.

  1. How super to see all these wonderful photos. So glad you got to be with Sonya and her family. I know you must be thrilled they live closer to you now. I have always been interested when people renovate their own homes and enjoy looking at YouTubes on that sort of thing. Sorry to hear about Fox's broken finger. That must have been painful. The cheese shop looks amazing. Still paying particular attention to Bill's scooter. It looks like a Rolls Royce of scooters, very snazzy :) Take good care of yourselves and have a lovely week.

  3. That dumpling tray must have been fun to share. I made pork dumplings on Saturday for friends who came to dinner. It was the appetizer and I froze lots more for another time or two.

  4. I suppose our cheese is quite expensive compared to what Europeans would pay. Good for you to continue to be so social.

Great to see Bill getting about and having a chat along the way.
    Nice family photos there too.

  7. I envy you having family, and even more so that they are now close by. We have a new cheese shop opened up in our local village, it looks OK but each time we have been in recently it has been a Monday and they are closed on Mondays! I hope all is well, Cheers t'other Diane

Sorry about Fox's broken finger... hope it heals quickly.
I do like the look of Bills scooter, what a great colour.
That cheese shop looks great ... I wouldn't mind a visit myself, if of course I lived close by!

    All the best Jan

  9. The cheese shop looks the ideal shop to have near your home. Supermarkets do provide cheeses, but the range is often small and bland.

  12. Gosh, that cheese shop looks good! As does that food. From my kitchen I have the smell of nearly ready soup, so will have to settle for that.
