EASTER SUNDAY LUNCH

Our lovely daughter and family invited us for lunch on Easter Sunday. Sonya made a booking at the Lighthouse Restaurant on Cleveland Point. Cleveland is a bayside suburb in Brisbane. The bay is called Moreton Bay and Cleveland Point is a peninsula sticking out into the bay. I love this restaurant but it isn't cheap but the food is delicious. I had half a lobster mornay, the boys and Bernie had steak, Sonya had Barramundi fish and Bill had flathead fish. It was a beautiful day and so great to be with family. I wished our other daughter and son in law were with us too. With the petrol problem and flight delays it was best for them to stay home in Victoria.

The old lighthouse is still on the point but it is not operational anymore.

Waiting for lunch.

Waiting for taxi home. We have a cabcharge card from My Age Care. Its better than trying to find a car park here. Enjoying time with our big grandsons. Fox and Banjo.

  5. When I read your posts and realise just how for granted you take your climate it makes me yearn for my New Zealand life. Of course, in Scotland, we are only just approaching Spring (in theory) but it seems so long ago since we had an even mildly warm day.

  6. Wow they have grown too ! Now the puberty starts, poor Dario, now Daddy is not wanted to go with son everywhere. Fortunately he has the dog (told me Toby) and Sonia has two ! Boys are different then girls at this age. The view from this restaurant is beautiful ! Today taking a plane is a little bit like a lottery game, I am happy that I traveled so much today I couldn't go there anymore. I will probably go to Dario in Amsterdam and maybe to the UK to Eastbourne. Depends on my lungs !

  7. A pity you couldn't all be together but a special day to remember. I would definitely choose the lobster.

  8. Waiting for lunch in a restaurant overlooking the beach and water looks like a real pleasure. A glass of wine would be even better.

  9. What a delightful day you had with your family. All the meal choices sound delicious. There is nothing like being together and enjoying the day.
What a wonderful thing to have that card to allow you taxi rides instead of trying to find a place to park.
    Enjoy your weekend.

  12. The Lighthouse Restaurant looks perfect. Even before the food is served, you can enjoy the ocean views, cool wine and family company.
