Bill wants to widen his horizons in making videos. So he is learning to use a drone. Luckily we have a young friend who is a photographer and has a drone so she came to give Bill a lesson. The next day he was trying hard to remember what he had learnt.
Today we were invited to friends for lunch. Surprise surprise! They had a daughter, who also is a photographer and uses a drone. So Bill had another lesson. He knows how to charm the young ones.
Now lets see if he has remembered what to do.
Wow we have take off.
He was so excited to be able to control it.
Techniques are changing very fast for us "oldies". Have seen those here too, they make interesting photos.
ReplyDeleteBob has one and it was really enjoy and flying it at the park but the battery has gone bad and we can't get a battery for it we ordered batteries and it in three months time they still hadn't come because they come from China and Trump is not letting things from China come into the country so now he has a drone and no battery
ReplyDeleteI really like a lot of the drone shots I have seen, especially over farming country. I was tempted to try for myself but decided that was not really a good idea for me. I would make a crash in no time. I look forward to seeing some of the shots.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI have been seeing blogger flying their drones. Most men like their toys, I think Bill will need his own drone to fly. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
wow learning how to operate drone is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteNice photos.
ReplyDeleteDrones do an excellent job and give us a different view of our land.
We thought about getting one last year but changed our minds because we didn't think we would get the use out of it - kind of pleased we didn't now we won't be travelling only in our own State.
I might buy one of those if I can find two young women to teach me how to use it!
ReplyDeleteFun..fun..fun...
ReplyDeleteGlad he has so many willing teachers, cause practice makes perfect.
I can't wait to see his finished videos with the drone.
Sue
There have been some very serious drones around here recently. I find the speed and noise of some of the large ones quite disconcerting.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Can’t wait to see Some new perspectives here on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI see a new toy in Bill's future!
ReplyDeleteI expect we may see some interesting photos soon. The areas where drones can be used seem so restricted.
ReplyDeleteI think they would be a great addition to photography, just have to watch out for the neighbours who might be sunbaking in the back yard!!
ReplyDeleteDrone videos are the best! Can't wait to see what he produces as time goes by!
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful Bill is interested in drone photography. I look forward to seeing some of his videos soon.
ReplyDeleteOh how special... I'm sure he loves it!!!!!! Men love their 'toys'..... Two of my sons have small drones.... I love seeing pictures of places when the pictures (and videos) are from a drone......
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some of this photography now.
Hugs,
Betsy
Looks like Bill will have a new past time and a fun one at that. I suppose there is somewhat of a learning curve but it does look like fun!
ReplyDeleteSome say using a drone is easy some say not so much I guess it depends on the user
ReplyDeleteWell done, Bill. I had a go at flying one but was too concerned about crashing it. It didn't seem intuitive to me.
ReplyDeleteI am not convinced that I like the idea of drones. I feel they invade people's privacy but well done Bill. Take care and keep safe. to'other Diane
ReplyDeleteOh he's going to have to get one of his own Diane, looking forward to seeing future videos 😉
ReplyDeleteIt is his own but he asked for help from the girls who also have one.
DeleteI've seen some really awesome photos taken by drones Would love to have one.
ReplyDeleteGood for Bill! Maybe you will post some of his videos or still shots sometime? Fascinating what they can do. (Personally, I’m still trying to becoe smarter thanmy smart phone.)
ReplyDeleteIt will open up a whole new world. I have a family member who has a drone and its amazing. Good on Bill!
